Las tres leyes de la robótica Vs Yo DIGITAL
- Un robot no puede hacer daño a un ser humano o, por inacción, permitir que un ser humano sufra daño.
- Un robot debe obedecer las órdenes dadas por los seres humanos, excepto si estas órdenes entrasen en conflicto con la Primera Ley.
- Un robot debe proteger su propia existencia en la medida en que esta protección no entre en conflicto con la Primera o la Segunda Ley.
Estas ideas datan de 1940 y el mundo no ha evolucionado en este sentido. Van apareciendo Robot sin conciencia pero ya todos tenemos un Yo Digital y no somos conscientes. No todos somos concientes o al menos todo lo conscientes que deberíamos. Y desde luego, no tenemos las tres leyes del Yo Digital. Yo sin ser Asimov voy a formular la primera en este post y luego las otras dos.

Nadie tiene derecho a conocer partes de mi Yo Digital al menos que yo quiera. Nadie tiene derecho a saber lo que pienso, al menos que yo quiera. Esto último esta moralmente aceptado. Creo que está hasta legislado sin que yo sea un experto en leyes. De hecho no es legal interrogar a ningún terrorista para adquirir este conocimiento ni con drogas, ni con torturas, etc… . Bueno, luego está la realidad.
Esta seguridad de que nadie sabe lo que pienso y por añadidura lo que soy me da una gran confianza. Incluso me permite actuar en contra de lo que soy y lo que creo que se debe hacer. ¿Quién no le ha dado nunca la razón al jefe? ¿Cuántos viven aun dentro de un armario? Mis colegas psicólogos seguro que tienen mucho más que decir al respecto.
Pero este derecho plenamente aceptado por las personas de sentido común no tiene proyección al mundo digital. Quizá por que no somos conscientes de que existe nuestro Yo Digital.
- Ya existen programas para leer los sms de nuestras parejas. O de nuestros vecinos. Evidentemente no voy a poner los enlaces puesto que ya habría perdido un 15 % de la audiencia, bon voyage.
- Las empresas se sienten con potestad de leer todos los mails de sus empleados en caso de necesidad.
- …
El problema sigue siendo que no somos conscientes de que nuestro Yo Digital es nuestra proyección del alma, si existe, del siglo XXI. En el siglo XX estaba mal visto leer los diarios ajenos, aunque muchos padres le regalaban uno a sus hijos. Hoy sería anacrónico y antiecologista escribir en un diario de papel, para que nadie lo lea, de hecho se escribe en blog digital para que todos te lean.
Cuando una empresa te contrata, lo hace por tus habilidades entre las que cada vez valoran más tu Yo Digital, (tus blogs, tus publicaciones, tu red de contactos, etc…) Pero no son o somos conscientes de que también tu Yo Digital laboral debe de ser inviolable pues son tus ideas y tus convicciones. Y que se irán contigo aun cuando las hayas patentado en la empresa.
Al rey la hacienda y la vida se ha de dar, pero el honor es patrimonio del alma, y el alma sólo es de Dios
Y en cuanto a la pareja. ¿Y si tu pareja, digital o no, tiene un ciberrollo con otro ente Digital? Con esta pregunta espero estimular los comentarios y así mejor formular la segunda ley del Yo Digital.
En la elaboración del yo digital siempre se tuvo en cuenta esta ley por lo que desde el inicio del proyecto se generaron procedimientos para cumplirla. Y no sólo con el objetivo de preservar la intimidad sino de controlar mejor la parte que dejamos ver a los demás. Resultó ser una de las fases más interesantes del proyecto. Lo más curioso fué que de la misma dinámica psicológica del yo digital emergieron por si mismos mecanismos guardianes del yo íntimo.
Cada ítem del yo digital tiene un marcaje multidimensional que hace de clave. La clave histórica, subjetiva y única del usuario.
¿Se puede averiguar que los mensajes de mi ciberollo los tengo vinculados emocionalmente a una canción de Los Chunguitos?. Todos tenemos nuestras excentricidades.
La segunda ley está relacionada con la privacidad y responsabilidad de nuestros yo digitales. ¿ Pueden ser mis yo digitales adúlteros sin serlo mi yo real? Por ejemplo.
Me había imaginado la segunda ley acerca de la relación entre los dos yoes. Como sistemas cognitivos conjuntos compartirían la responsabilidad. Pero ahí entra el tema de la ficción, que tanto ha aparecido en el blog. Si las relaciones digitales pertenecen al mundo de la ficción no habría adulterio. Serían simplemente juegos. Si nos cargamos los márgenes y el mundo digital absorve al real, sí habría responsabilidad.
Sobre como se está aplicando ya, en la práctica, esta segunda ley, la que regularía las consecuencias de los actos cometidos por tu yo digital sobre el yo real, tenemos el ejemplo de SecondLife y todas las noticias sobre personas detenidas por pederastia en SecondLife, etc. etc. ¿Si alguien tiene un avatar con forma de niño menor de edad y otro alguien tiene un avatar con forma de adulto y practican sexo, la persona que tiene el avatar de adulto es pederasta? En SecondLife parece que piensan que sí. La segunda ley, según SecondLife, es ‘tu yo real será responsable de lo que haga tu yo digital’.
En las últimas investigaciones sobre delincuentes sexuales se dice que:
- La mayoría de ellos querrían cambiar
- Las posibilidades de cambio están más en ampliar el control sobre la conducta que en varíar el tipo de fantasías sexuales que les llevan a cometer el delito.
¿No podría servir la relación virtual descrita en el anterior comentario como ‘desahogo’ favoreciendo el que no se produzca en la vida real?
Mirando la propuesta de Pilar desde la otra cara de la moneda, la relación virtual descrita en el comentario de Álvaro también podría producir una desensibilización hacia la conducta susceptible de aumentar su probabilidad de ocurrencia en la vida real, ¿no? Por supuesto, teniendo siempre en cuenta que las posibilidades de cometer este acto en el mundo real son mucho menores que en el mundo virtual de Second Life.
Tengo una cuenta en gmail, y veo que me sale publicidad acorde con el contenido de los correos que intercambio (ojo, no con el asunto, sino con el contenido, ¿eh?) ¿Eso es una violación de mi Yo Digital? ¿Por qué pueden hacerlo algunas empresas sin nuestro permiso?
Releyendo la entrada de José, me atrevo a postular un esbozo de Segunda Ley del Yo Digital:
2.- El Yo Digital interactuará con los procesos mentales del Yo Analógico de su usuario, para generar una emergencia conjunta cuantitativa y cualitativamente distinta a la mera suma de sus facetas de identidad.
Es decir, la finalidad última del Yo Digital es convertirse en algo superior a la mera extensión de memoria del Yo Analógico de su propietario, que facilite y protega el desarrollo de éste en sus interacciones virtuales.

Tienes toda la razón google hace lo que dices. Tiene derecho? Bueno, creo que al aceptar los términos de obtención de la cuenta de correo gratuíta, accedes a ello.
Realmente nunca he sido capaz de leerme entero el panfleto de aceptación de cualquier software, gratuito o incluso de pago.
Siempre bromeo con la posibilidad de que en alguno de estos acuerdos de aceptación la parte contratante de la segunda parte ponga algo así como que ‘me declaro culpable de la muerte de Kennedy’ seguro que todos picábamos.
Ahora ya en serio. Es importantísimo que tomemos conciencia de lo importante que es mantener nuestra privacidad y derechos en el mundo digital. Google tiene problemas en este sentido, por ejemplo:

Estos ejemplo aparecen ya en la prensa generalista y son una muestra de hacía donde nos podemos encaminar si no nos concienciamos del problema.
A mí la propuesta de Nuria me parece interesante: una ley sobre que el yo digital va a ampliar las potencialidades de la mente ‘analógica’ orientada también a que esas potencialidades deben ir en la dirección de la adaptabilidad y no de la patología.
A mi hay algo que me preocupa con esto de las leyes. Si no recuerdo mal, al final los robots de Asimov se destruyen porque terminan siendo contradictorias entre si.
