Cuéntame tu vida 3: ¿YOES LÓGICOS?
Las narraciones autobiográficas pueden ser de dos tipos:
- LINEALES: Cuando las etapas se suceden una detrás de la otra
- JERÁRQUICAS: Cuando se establece una jerarquía entre etapas principales y subetapas.
En el estudio piloto que estamos presentando (alumnos de Psicología, entre 17 y 27 años de edad) aparecen las dos modalidades:
Narración autobiográfica lineal
Marte (Mujer, 22 años)
Cuando estaba en Cifuentes
Cuando empecé el colegio
Cuando fuí al campamento de verano
Cuando empecé la academia para aprobar la Selectividad
Cuando salí por Tribunal con mis compañeros de la facultad
Cuando cambié de carrera para estudiar Psicología
Cuando viajé con mi hermana
Cuando me regañaban por no estudiar lo suficiente
Cuando me sentía insegura en el instituto
Cuando conocí a mi mejor amiga
Cuando estaba en Forestales
Cuando me sentía frustrada por mi peso
Narración autobiográfica jerárquica
Libra (Mujer, 23 años)
Cuando vivía en Fuencaliente
Cuando vivía en Picón
Cuando era amiga de….
Cuando iba al colegio de Ciudad Real
Cuando vine a Madrid
Para estudiar Psicología
Para salir de mi casa
Cuando estaba en la residencia
Cuando me fuí a vivir sola
Para sacarme el carnet de conducir
Cuando estaba en 4º
Cuando salía con…
Cuando me fuí a vivir sola
Para salir de un mal momento
Cuando escribía relatos
Cuando era amiga de…
Para ir al colegio
Las narraciones jeráquicas se configuran en torno a categorizaciones temporales:
- De ciclo vital: Cuando era pequeña, cuando era adolescente (hasta los 14 años aprox.), cuando era adolescente (desde los 14 a los 18), mi madre (Helena, 18 años, mujer)
- De ciclo académico: Cuando estaba en Primaria, cuando estaba en la ESO, cuando estaba en el Bachillerato (Nessy, 19 años, mujer)
De los 51 estudiantes que participaron en el estudio sólo un 31% elaboró narraciones jerárquicas. Este dato nos lleva a plantearnos las siguientes preguntas:
- ¿Las narraciones autobiográficas son de naturaleza lineales? o
- ¿Siguen una pauta evolutiva desde la linealidad a la jerarquización?
Quizás lo que ocurre es que la categorización ralentiza la sucesión temporal psicológica, y la prioridad del tiempo sea su “deslizamiento” sin fisuras

So not really on the same topic as your post, but I found this today and I just can’t resist sharing. Mrs. Agathe’s dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she told him, “I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you the check. Oh, and by the way…don’t worry about my Doberman. He won’t bother you. But, whatever you do, do NOT under ANY circumstances talk to my parrot!” When the repairman arrived at Mrs. Agathe’s apartment the next day, he discovered the biggest and meanest looking Doberman he had ever seen. But just as she had said, the dog simply laid there on the carpet, watching the repairman go about his business. However, the whole time the parrot drove him nuts with his incessant cursing, yelling and name-calling. Finally the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and yelled, “Shut up, you stupid ugly bird!” To which the parrot replied, “Get him, Spike!”
