En la paleta cromática de la naturaleza el color rojo destaca por su intensidad comunicativa:

Describiéndolo a partir de los parámetros emocionales que incluimos en el Yo Digital, el color rojo es un índice de nivel de activación sin valencia afectiva. Intensifica tanto lo placentero como lo aversivo.
El rojo posee, además, un significado especial para las personas:
-Altera el ritmo cardíaco y la actividad cerebral
-Ocupa un lugar privilegiado en los sistemas cromáticos de todas las sociedades
-Cuando una lesión cerebral daña la visión del color, el rojo es el que más tardamos en perder y el que antes recobramos
