En entradas anteriores de este blog hemos hablado de las diferencias entre la interacción social analógica y la digital, de la exhibición de identidades situadas en el mundo virtual, o de los nuevos escenarios de relación que suponen los metaversos y los MMORPG.
Pero lo cierto es que las posibilidades de crecimiento y exploración que permite la vida digital van mucho más allá 
de la simulación de identidades: gracias a la web, no sólo descubrimos competencias y habilidades que jamás habrÃamos sospechado tener, sino que nos atrevemos a compartirlas con miles de usuarios de cualquier parte del planeta… Y en ocasiones, ¡hasta despertamos la admiración de la comunidad virtual!
El podcasting es un buen ejemplo de la web como "campo de exploración" de destrezas.
En términos generales, un podcast vendrÃa a ser un blog hablado (o con formato de vÃdeo), susceptible de ser escuchado a través de Internet y con posibilidad de suscripción mediante RSS.
Al igual que ocurre con los blogs, la gracia de un podcast reside fundamentalmente en que sus autores no sean de expertos en Ciencias de la Información ni comunicadores profesionales, sino cibernautas anónimos con ganas de difundir opiniones, noticias o ideas sobre sus propias aficiones, intereses o hobbies particulares.
Los más atrevidos se animan incluso a "crear" personajes e historias -identidades al fin y al cabo-, que les sirven de hilo conductor en cada programa. Valga como ejemplo El Geek Errante, un podcast español sobre tecnologÃa informática que se apoya en los recursos más clásicos de la ciencia ficción y el space opera para desarrollar su contenido en las voces de El Doctor, Mr. Solo, HoloJorge y FuTuR3.
Pero el podcasting no es sólo un fenómeno lúdico, sino que también puede actuar como una potente herramienta pedagógica, como señala Francisco José Ruiz Rey en la entrada "¿Qué es realmente un podcast?" de su blog Internet como recurso educativo.
A finales del curso 2007, el Colegio Universitario Cardenal Cisneros también decidió abrir a sus alumnos al ciberespacio con PsicoQué, un proyecto de radio digital para la divulgación de la psicologÃa, desarrollado en colaboración con Radio Vallekas y la Unión de Radios Comunitarias.
Como era de esperar, el aprendizaje de l@s alumn@s que quincenalmente realizan este espacio no se ha limitado a vincular la tecnologÃa con el conocimiento académico: después de un año de emisión, han desarrollado una verdadera mentalidad de equipo, han renombrado al espacio donde realizan sus grabaciones, e incluso han acuñado sus propios términos para autodenominarse como grupo. Es decir, han creado una identidad virtual, que en ocasiones les lleva a plantearse que no se debe saludar a los oyentes diciendo el consabido "buenos dÃas", ya que sus programas pueden escucharse a cualquier hora del dÃa, en cualquiera de los dos hemisferios.
Afortunadamente, este tipo de iniciativas cada vez cuentan con mayor apoyo institucional en nuestro paÃs, como demuestra el XXVI Premio de Periodismo Radiofónico que el Colegio Oficial de Psicólogos de Madrid ha concedido a PsicoQué el pasado 19 de junio, por su innovadora labor de divulgación de la PsicologÃa.

The Internet just has too much information these days
Well, if you are looking for your own vacation home, there’s a really nice place in Rehoboth Beach. I stayed there one summer and it’s just perfect. It’s a very roomy three bedroom home with a deck and all the trimmings.
It’s close to route 1 and right down the street from the outlet stores, where you could do all your tax free shopping. But, it’s far enough away where you don’t have to deal with resort traffic. And there’s plenty of parking to invite your friends from the city for a weekend down at the shore.
Rehoboth Beach is only two miles away, so you could work on your tan every morning. There’s an amusement park and arcades right on the boardwalk to keep the kids occupied so you can have some time to yourself.
The city is clean and crime-free, with lots of great restaurants go have lunch and dinner. All the kids attractions close down after ten o’clock, but the bars stay open until one in the morning. There is nothing quite like going out with all your friends, and finishing your night sitting on the sand and staring out into the ocean.
Best part about this place is that it has a mother in law suite with a separate entrance. The suite has its own kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. So you could pay your mortgage by renting it out, while still having a place to call your own.
I really wish I could buy this place myself. The owners are retiring and want to travel. And you won’t find anyone else willing to part with a place like this at that price. But I got laid off recently, which put an end to my plans of acquiring this place.

Media buys can be a very lucrative business especially for the advertising industry here in Kansas City. Media buys can save you so much money. For example if I can buy an ad on the Kansas City Stars news website, and its only 200 bucks a month and it brings me over 100,000 sales than compare it to the amount of money it costs to run PPC for that on Google its going to be an astronomical difference in overhead costs.
